Chemical peels are well known cosmetic treatments, and over time the dermatologic & aesthetic industry have created and worked on several different blends of acids that all work differently to achieve different results at different depths. At Center for Dermatology, we are partnering with PCA skin to help deliver safe, effective treatments in the office that are suitable for various skin conditions and concerns.
PCA Peel without Hydroquinone
also known as our “acne peel”, is a safe, yet effective chemical peel that contains salicylic acid, kojic acid, and lactic acid. This carefully curated blend of acids works to prevent & target acne causing bacteria from forming or sticking together, aids in balancing oily skin types, balances the appearance of enlarged pores that comes with oily skin, smoothes skin texture & evens out skin tone, and helps reverse hyperpigmentation. Lactic acid is included in all PCA peels to help aid in exfoliation and lock in hydration. This chemical peel is safe for most skin types including sensitive skin and most skin tones.
Pigment Correct Peel
is our mildest peel that is formulated for sensitive skin types and those struggling with pigmentation concerns such as those with melasma, rosacea, and sun damage. This peel contains a blend of goodies including mandelic acid, pyruvic acid, tranexamic acid, lactic acid, and milk thistle that help to smoothe, brighten, calm, and hydrate the skin. This peel is safe for all skin types and skin tones, and is usually done in a series to achieve desired results.
Sensi Peel
is a 6% TCA peel that helps deliver skin rejuvenation, encourage cellular skin turnover, and improve skin tone and texture. This chemical peel is safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and is safe for all skin tones. Lactic acid helps to deliver hydration back into the skin while influencing exfoliation synergistically. This peel is recommended for those that are new to skincare, but are interested in getting into it! This peel is also recommended for those contraindicated for the acne peel and would still like to experience the benefits of a chemical peel, due to its milder nature.
